​Looking for ways on how you can tone up your inner thigh muscles? Well, isn’t that one thing that many of us are dying to do? After all, bigger and more toned thigh muscles would make you look bulky, all muscular or sexier. But the problem is finding the perfect exercise that can help you achieve just that.

So, what are the best exercises for inner thigh muscles? Well, you are lucky that I already have some expertise in this field as I have tried toning up my thigh muscles and I was successful in doing so. So in this article, I will be sharing with you some of what I considered to be the best inner thigh exercises. So if you are more than excited for it, let us get started!

These exercises are beneficial mainly because it keeps your inner thigh as toned or strong as possible and with strong thighs comes lots of benefits. For one, strong thighs will mean greater stability which would come handy in preventing injuries while you are working out.

In addition to that, the stronger your thigh muscles are, the more balanced you will be. Last but not the least, it can also provide your knees the control it needs to properly perform various weight-bearing exercises like lunges and squats.

  • Doing Too Much Thigh Exercises Will Make It Too Bulky

Many people shy away from doing this type of exercises because they do not want to have big and muscular thigh muscles. The truth is, it is impossible for you to achieve the thigh muscles like the ones that the bodybuilders, not unless you are training to increase muscle mass, consuming lots of calories and taking protein supplements or even, steroids.

1. Cycling

If there is one type of bike that can help you achieve you dream thighs, then a recumbent bike is just what you need. Riding this bike can help you work out a few muscle groups including glutes, quads, calves, hamstrings and abs.

How To Do It: Just simply take a ride on the bike and play any music that you want and cycle to the beat. But if that is a bit boring for you and you want to make sure that you are hitting all the right muscles, it is recommended that you watch a cycling video and follow it.

2. Side Plank Lift

This is one leg lift variation that can challenge not just your lower body but your arms and core as well.

How To Do It: Lie on the right side. Then press your right palm and extend your arms to lift your body. Keep your toes straight and pointed. Bend the other knee and step your left foot on the floor. Squeeze thighs together and hold it for one count

3. Side Shuffle Switch

This is a fast-paced exercise that will not just work out your inner thigh muscles but will keep your heart rate up as well. So it is like hitting two birds with one stone—build inner thigh muscles and lose weight at the same time!

How To Do It: Stand and keep your feet together and arms at your side. Take three quick steps to your right and lift your left knee up and swing arms forward. Do the shuffle in reverse and repeat for 20 more times. 

Just a tip, you can play an upbeat music that will certainly keep you energetic all throughout the entire workout session.

4. Squat With A Ball

This challenging version of a squat is effective in targeting your inner thighs.

How To Do It: Put an exercise ball in between the curve of your lower back and the wall. Stand straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Do the traditional squat position with the exercise ball in this position. Hold it for 3 seconds then stand back up.

5. Plie

Aside from the thigh region, it can also help tone up your buttock muscles. This is exactly just what you need!

How To Do It: Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart. Keep your toes pointing out. Put up your arms straight in front of you. Then do a squat. Rise back up and repeat it again. Do this for a full minute.

6. Transverse Lunge

Lunge has always been the core of a great thigh workout.

How To Do It: Stand straight with your feet close together. Step the right leg to your left side then bend your right knee. Keep the left leg straight as you do so. Step the right foot back to its original position. Do the same with the other side.
